Fun Family Day at the Zoo!

So nice to have some down time this past weekend to just chill...and hang out and roam around the zoo!

differences I'm finding between my first child and my second:)

How sweet is she! Sleeping/napping peacefully, Praise God, on my bed! Notice the ba-ba..."bottle"...her beloved ba-ba that she only has twice a day...once for nap and then at bedtime...and yes, she's over one years old!

At it is so interesting to me, that w/my first child, I was so by the book....if the book said at 12months old your child should be off the bottle, by all means, we weaned Charlie the last week of his 11th month, so that by 12mo's he was off the bottle..and he was...

But w/little Miss Sophie Su, my second and LAST..(LOL) child, I am finding I throw all that crap in the books out the door for the most part! She probably could get rid of the ba-ba...but I can't! I so relish in those moments before she naps that we snuggle and she drinks from her ba-ba....

I also think, having a 7 yr old, it has taught me how fast this time goes with your children...way too fast for me..but a fact of life...

Charlie has shown me not to sweat the small stuff and to go with the flow more with Sophie and hold on to those precious "ba-ba moments" b/c one day soon, she too will be 7yrs old and the ba-ba will be gone:(

Blossoming right under her very own apple tree!

I took a picture similar to this one last year, but w/Charlie sitting underneath Sophie's apple tree..and now this year, FINALLY, she is here...our sweet Sophie Su, blossoming right along w/the precious tree we planted in honor of her three springs ago!
Still...after 8 months with her..there are those moments I just stare at her in awe that she is here..our dream come true...she takes me breath away!
And of course, I can NOT get a gracious picture of her under that tree for the life of me...I sware...all you bloggers out there that have these perfectly posed pic's of your little beauties...How the heck do you do it??? Sophie is either busy ignoring my plees for her to smile, or smiling in a very cheesy grin while saying, "CHEEEEZZZEEE" out loud, or busy being a busy body..LOL!!!

Su..oh how I love this girl...oh daughter of mine..how did I ever get so lucky to get you?!

These photos are an inspiration to me to write a book...my story to my Sophie..and Jaden too!

I need to credit G w/these gorgeous photos of our girls! When I first opened up the one of Sophie and Jaden sitting on a trail in the Metroparks I immediatly felt emotional at the beauty of it...and I immediatly felt inspired to write a book....

LOL..but seriously...I've always loved writing...and I carry around w/me such an amazing story of how God brought this precious angel into our lives(and G carries her story too)...sometimes I wonder if God wants me to share our stories with more and more people out there... maybe it could help instill hope in others that dreams do come true, and there are children out there just waiting for me and you...children like our precious Sophie Su and Jaden Elise!
Who knows...I can barely keep up with checking C's writing journel, much rather sit down and have a writing journel of my own...

LOL..but who knows, maybe some day...because I have such a great story to tell!

Watching these two silly billys is a dream come true..literally....my whole life I waited to be a mom...I prayed for two...thought a girl and a boy would be a delight..but knew I'd love whatever the Lord granted me...

I prayed for years..(4 to be exact) for my dream of two to come true...but knew I'd love whatever the Lord granted me in those years waiting...

And here I sit, in awe every day that my dream came true..

These two gifts to me light up my life each and every day..their smiles, laughter and silly banter make my life more full than I ever knew possible!

Charlie and Sophie, you amaze me every day..your love for life and love for one another makes my heart glow!
Mommy loves you both to the stars and the moon and the sun and back and back and back!
