"pre" bday celebrations for our sweet Charlie boy!

Although we did it a bit early, we celebrated Charlie's birthday this past weekend with some very good friends and family! Our plan was to stop at Chuck E Cheese for some pizza and fun..but OMG..the line was out the door w/a 45 min wait....so, we ventured to Dave and Busters to find much of the same..busy, busy, busy..but Charlie and daddy, Austin and Aunt Jodi, did manage to play a few fun games! Then we headed back to Gramma Jeans for some pizza and cake with everyone!
Thanks to all of you, "up" there that took time to come celebrate my precious baby boy...who is definetly no longer my baby! How he got to be 7 yrs old, I'll never figure out.... how it went so fast...so bittersweet...

Family Photo Shoot over New Years Eve get together 2010!

Twice a year, every year, since as far back to when I was a child, my family would go and get professional photos done..usually one in summer and one in winter.....Most of the time, it was just us kids, and even as we grew up, me and my brothers, we continued this tradition. Every now and again, mom and dad would join in....and once my oldest brother and I had our own children, we started the tradition w/them as well....
And I know my mom has probably been waiting four years now for her and my dad to jump in and do one big fam photo w/all of us...but for four yrs...someone was missing....but not this year!!!!!
Finally, finally, we could all get together, miss Sophie Su included and get that photo we've waited so long to get of us all...
Although my little princess wanted nothing to do w/the photo shoot, I'll have to say I think they still all turned out fabulous:)

She is soooo my daughter..LOL!!!

Yesterday as I was cleaning....I peered over into the family room and watched as Sophie walked up and down the length of the room, walking back and forth all the while w/my cell phone glued to her ear!!!! She is sooooo me...I can not sit still when talking on the phone, so I always pace the floor....lol! It amazes me that at 13mo's old she is such a little copy cat!!!!! God couldnt have matched us better..right?!

New Years Eve from 09 to 10!

Our trip down to be with my whole family over New Years was a blast! Charlie, Sophie and their cousins had so much fun, esp b/c Poppie made them their very own secret clubhouse, which was deemed the "Blue Swan Hotel" by Emi! This clubhouse included their very own hot tub....LOL...this was made possible in 20degree weather only b/c Poppie enclosed the Entire deck area surrounding the hot tub...or "hot pool" as all the kids call it, w/heavy duty plastic....so it actually was a sauna in there b/c he also put two heavy duty heaters inside..LOL....we called it the "redneck" way...but the kids found it to be paradise..LOL!!!!

So...New Years was so special to us to have our Sophie Su home....

We celebrated w/the kiddos until 9pm w/many rounds of charades...sipping bubbly white grape juice, wearing out the party hats and horns..and completed their evening out front w/a lovely firework display put on by their crazy Uncles!!!
Then off to bed for them, and us grown ups had a lovely evening ringing it on in sipping our own bubbly in the "Blue Swan Hotel"..LOL!!!!
