This is a day I will never forget,
last summer, June 22nd.
I sat here at home anticipating the phone,
for I knew all my pain was about to be gone.
The pain of my wait, the 4 years my heart ached,
was about to be erased, when I saw her sweet face.
12:01pm, the phone did ring, here we go, the magic would begin.
Camera rolling, adoption rep rambling, my heart was racing, my brain was scrambling!
The next words I heard before I even saw her face, were truly the "red threads" and of course God's perfect grace.
"Congratulations, you have a daughter" she says, her birthday was only 7 months ago, and heres where that red thread began to grow.....
My tears began to fall, nothing could top this,
For her birthday was also MINE, November 26th!!!!!!
Then the email came through, we felt time stand still,
we opened that file, and all our dreams came true!
I will never forget the moment I saw her perfect face, this daughter of mine, finally born to me, through God's perfect grace!
Fu Yan Su: "Beautiful/Pure/White" born November 26, 2008.
She was just perfect, she's the baby girl I had dreamed of every night, since October 21st, 2005.
My sweet daughter, my dream come true, my answered prayer, my glorious gift from God.
This is a day I will never forget, last summer, June 22nd!!!!

PS..for those of you that dont know what "red thread" means..here it is:
"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance.
The red thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break."

Fun in the sun at our local beach, and fine dining in our palace in the trees!
We are fortunate to live only 5 min's away from this big local beach area! Although it's no ocean, it's still fun to lay around and have a "beachy" afternoon so close to home. It reminds me of when I was young and my brothers and I would play at our "beach" by the lake where I grew up!
And to finish off our day, Charlie served us all dinner up in his palace built by his Poppie and daddy! Very fun day!

Have I mentioned how much I love these two cutie pies?!!!! I took this picture as I walked outside and found C and S curled up on the deck after playing in the pool one afternoon. C said, "mommy I love Soph so much!" He had picked her up and wrapped her in a towel to snuggle her warm :)
Watching C and S grow up this past year together has been nothing short of amazing! The love and bond that has grown..(actually in less than a yr, I keep forgetting S hasnt been w/us FOREVER!)is one I am honored to witness..pure love and adoration comes from both of them to one another.(not sayin it's always fun lovin...they are brother and sister after all..LOL)
But such simple silly things, like if S gets water in her eyes at the pool and is vocal a/b it, C comes over w/a towel to wipe her eyes(of course if this is not one of the moments he sprayed her in the eyes himself..lol)...or if C gets hurt and is crying, S runs over and rubs his arm and hugs him....it's the sweetest thing, and so dear to me b/c I have 3 brothers that I love so much and the bond I am seeing between my own two, reminds me of my bonds with my own siblings!

Perfect ending to a Perfect wkend!
Although Memorial Day started rainy here...by noon the sun came out and sky cleared and it was gorgeous and HOT! So to end our great weekend J and I took the kids to a super fun outdoor spash park we go to often! It was Sophie's first time there and I wasnt sure if she'd be into it..but low and behold whatever big brother Charlie does, so does Sophie! She was apprehensive for the first 30sec's and then Charlie picked her up and ran through a tunnel that was shooting water every which way and she loved it!
Charlie boy, you are the best big brother ever!
